AT&T Class Action

Court grants preliminary approval of $17 million class action settlement on behalf of IT employees of AT&T Services in action filed by Plaintiffs Duane Waters, Debra Turner and Rudy Fajardo .

On September 13, 2010, United States District Court Magistrate Judge Bernard Zimmerman granted a motion for preliminary approval of a $17,000,000 settlement of a class action case for unpaid wages on behalf of a class of approximately 671 persons who worked in California for AT&T Services, Inc. as Sr. IT Analysts, Sr. QC Test Analysts and Sr. Database Administrators from August 27, 2005 through September 13, 2010. (Waters v. AT&T Services, Inc. Case No. CV 09-3983 BZ , U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.). The lawsuit was filed by Plaintiffs Duane Waters, Debra Turner and Rudy Fajardo, who are former employees of AT&T Services.

On October 14, 2010, a Notice of Class Action settlement will be mailed to the address each class member has on file with AT&T Services, Inc. If you are a class member and would like to receive monetary compensation from the class action settlement proceeds, you must return a claim form by December 13, 2010. A hearing on the motion for final approval of the settlement is presently scheduled for February 9, 2011 in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
